NAME: Alison Klein
EMPLOYMENT: I work at Seattle Metropolitan magazine, an award-winning city mag that tells the stories of our city (and beyond). My role is a mix of front-end design, code-wrangling, photography, and a bit of writing.
BACKGROUND: I’ve worked in some form of newsroom environment for the past six years. Before moving to Seattle in 2013, I worked in D.C. at the Voice of America as a photographer and also created graphics and other digital projects to help our global audience interpret the news. You can find bits and pieces my work around this site. I also interned with the Washington Post and even had a brief stint as a wedding photographer!
EDUCATION: I studied journalism at Emerson College in Boston. I’m also currently enrolled in a front-end development class at Codefellows.
MISC: When not working, I’m probably thinking about travel, dogs, mountains, running, and/or food
